Why do we sometimes fall in love with the wrong person?

Have you ever asked yourself why do we fall in love? Why is it that we need to love, to have someone by our side? I did; but I didn't find the answer. But the most confusing part is this: why do we sometimes fall in love with the wrong person?
I think that I found the answer to my question...I think. Our heart does not have the possibility to think. She just goes for it. When you see that person that catches your eyes and when you feel your heart pounding like crazy, you know that you've started to fall in love. Maybe at first sight it can't be love, but nobody knows. It's stupid how you spend your days talking to that person, then he/she invites you out, you go, see him/her, talk, and fall in love. But you feel something is not right, it just can't be that easy. As a woman, you dedicate yourself to make the person you love happy, you don't think about anything else. You get worried when he doesn't answer you calls, when he ignores your messages. Why do women have to be so caring, why do we have to give all our love to that person, to take our heart and say:"Here, you have it,it's yours". We have a brain, but in love, I'm sorry to say but we don't use it.
In the end we all get our hearts broken. But women don't take it as well as men do. We cry our eyes out, we can't think straight anymore, we think how we could have been so stupid, how could this happen to us? Our heart heals very slow, it takes months, maybe years to heal a wound; but the scar will always be there reminding us of the moments that we spent with our loved one, and the moment that we broke up.
Life has many obstacles that are hard to pass, and we sometimes get stuck.When we fall in love, we wish to stop time, to never let go of that person, to have him/her by our side for as long as it's possible. But when love is gone, we don't know how to make time go faster, to forget faster. Well a true love can NEVER be forgotten. We will have the scar that our loved one made on our heart forever.
But we have to be strong no matter what, and hope that one day we will find that "special one" who will not make us suffer, the right person.
